Jul 25, 2010 - Can I get a link to buy this dvd for learning 450d? If it comes as a download even better. I visited the website, but I was unable to find it, considering I used the search box. Thanks!

Jul 5, 2010 - Thanks for a great tutorial, always took my photos with either aperture priority or manual but never looked (yeah i know lol) at the wb so much but it makes the panorama pictures a lot better to be able to control shutter speed and aperture and last not the least (most important) white balance.

Jun 11, 2010 - @LarkPhoto THANK YOU THANK YOU 1 MILLION TIMES :)
LarkPhoto Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @tttnytttny You can. That's what I'm saying—all that matters is that the frame is totally filled with the white card reflecting the tungsten light. if your card is big enough that that can be done at a wide angle, then that's fine. (Don't take anything your manual says too literally—that's why we sell these books and DVDs!)
tttnytttny Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @LarkPhoto I apologize beforehand for my stupid questions. But why zoom in? Why can't I just stand closer to the white card physically without zooming in?
tttnytttny Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @LarkPhoto Yes, I get it. Do it under the tungsten light. Thank you thank you :)
LarkPhoto Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @tttnytttny What it means is that the white card should fill the entire frame when you take the picture.
tttnytttny Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @LarkPhoto If I may ask you again, why does the manual say that I am supposed to **zoom in** when I take a pic of the white card?
tttnytttny Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @LarkPhoto Thank you SO MUCH. I am very new to this and I still don't understand the logic behind that. But I will follow your instruction. Thanks again.

Jun 11, 2010 - @tttnytttny. You want to set the custom white balance (take a picture of the white card) under the yellow tungsten lights. That's the whole point—you're telling the camera that, under THIS light, THIS is white. Just watch the video!
tttnytttny Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - Can someone PLEASE help me? I am taking photos with tungsten light which is 1000 watts and I notice that the room and wall become **VERY** yellow. So I plan on adjusting the white balance manually. Question: Do I take a picture of the white card under an **IDEAL** environment (like outdoor but under soft sunligt) or do I photograph the white card in that "yellow" environment? Please help. Thank you.

Jun 9, 2010 - what if i'm just out with friends taking candid photos? i'd feel kinda awkward to have to ask them to stop having fun and hold this piece of paper so i can calibrate my white balance. what should i do then?

May 28, 2010 - @nepaliman what lark said.. I have the same camera, came with the 18-55mm kit lens. Its all done on the lenses now. There is a af/mf (auto focus/manual focus) and IS (image stablization) tab on the lenses, both EF and EFS mounts.
